SVRA Gold Cup celebrates VIR\u2019s glorious racing past by bringing back to life the sights, smells and sounds that have echoed off this hallowed asphalt since 1957. This popular weekend always features large grids and great competition in all SVRA race groups. The track hugs the natural contours of the land and features high speed straights, blind crests and a notorious tight right turn where a famous oak tree once stood. The VIR Grand Course crams two dozen turns into 4.2 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
VIR is more than just a time-honored road course, it\u2019s also a modern motorsports resort that features three hotels, several restaurants, a skidpad, a go-kart track and even a skeet shooting range.
