Juan Gonzalez, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mission Foods, will serve as the Grand Marshal for this weekend’s Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli events at Road Atlanta, taking place March 12 to 15.
“I am thrilled to serve as the Grand Marshal for Racing America’s event at Road Atlanta,” said Gonzalez. “It’s going to be an exciting weekend for both racers and fans, and I’m looking forward to being a part of the action on track.”
As a life-long motorsports and automotive enthusiast, Gonzalez began racing in go-karts at the young age of six and later went on to compete in motorcycle racing. Later in his career, Gonzalez advances to professional racing divisions including American Le Mans, Trans Am, Formula 4, and GT Racing.
In 2010, the native of Los Angeles, California was able to secure an IMSA GTC victory at the prestigious 12 Hours of Sebring with driving partners Butch Leitzinger and Leh Keen and at Long Beach (again with Leitzinger as a driving partner). Gonzalez also collected a pair of podium finishes at Laguna Seca and Miller Motorsports Park.
Since then, Gonzalez has remained active on the vintage racing scene and is also an avid golfer and fisherman. As a passionate car collector for more than 40 years, the savvy businessman has also built the Car Amigo Collection, which focuses primarily on racing cars and motorcycles.
