WILLOWS, Calif. (October 11, 2025) – After taking the pole in this morning’s qualifying session, Ken Sutherland led the field to green in his No. 85 Kallberg Racing Dodge Challenger, with Michelle Nagai (No. 72 Nagai Racing/Berkeley Jet Drive Chevrolet Camaro) lining up second and John Moore (No. 27 JM Environmental Ford Mustang) starting third. From the moment the race started, Sutherland was in control, increasing his gap over second place a little bit more on each of the opening 10 laps. From there, Nagai’s front bumper would occasionally grow closer in his rearview mirror, but every time it seemed she was making progress, she would slip back once again. The final 10 laps are where Sutherland really shined, and he was able to open up his lead to more than 20 seconds, dominating until the end. Sutherland took the overall checkered flag, and Nagai finished second. Moore crossed the finish line third to secure the final spot on the podium.
“Well, I know why Michelle [Nagai] couldn’t catch me, because I had the same issue,” said Sutherland. “There was just no grip at the end, but I think that’s just the condition of the track. Thanks to Jefferson Racing and Curt and Patty Kallberg for providing me a car. It’s just a great series. I’m super glad to be on the podium and win a race. A good day for the points, too.”
